Expanded owner’s quarters adjoin the kitchen and include a private dining room, office, den and bathroom on the main floor plus a completely renovated lower level with a large master bedroom suite and bath, a spacious family room, a guest bedroom/den and lots of storage space – 1,400+ square feet of private living space in all!  See the floor plans here.

Lanesboro sits along the banks of the Root River, surrounded by rolling countryside and dramatic bluffs. Just 2 hours south of Minneapolis, the town is known for its art galleries, live theater, and access to wonderful outdoor activities. Outside Magazine identifies it as one of the “Best American Towns”, attracting cyclists, paddlers, cross-country skiers and wildlife lovers. Artplace America rates it one of the top small towns for the arts in the U.S., and Smithsonian Magazine named it one of “America’s 20 Best Small Towns”! Much of downtown Lanesboro is on the National Register of Historic Places. The town has its own history museum, library, school district, post office, 2 theaters, a major arts center, a farmers’ market, river outfitters, fishing guides, independent retail shops, plenty of restaurants and 2 ice cream parlors. That’s saying a lot for a town with a population of 750 people!

The current owners are working with All Trails E-Bikes to rent out a fleet of 5 E-bikes to explore a new source of revenue for the inn. Biking is one of the main reasons people come to Lanesboro in the high season. The use of E-Bikes has increased in the past two to three years. Currently, no other business in town has E-Bikes that can be reserved in advance of a visit to Lanesboro. The E-Bikes are available for all day rental at $85 per bike per day. This new business venture is not included in the sale price of the inn but would be a separate negotiation.

Habberstad House Bed and Breakfast earns excellent traveler ratings on TripAdvisor™ and is a member of Select Registry™, an indicator of superior quality. The price is supported by the inn’s cash flow and is accurately based on a Marketability Assessment and Valuation.
